Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (born February 2, 1977 in Barranquilla, Colombia; better known as Shakira) is a Latin pop and rock and roll singer and songwriter.

Shakira was born to a mother of Spanish and Italian descent & a father of Lebanese heritage. Shakira is also fluent in many languages including English, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese and French and a little Italian.
