Melanie Sykes (born 7 August 1971 in Mossley, UK) is a British television presenter and actress. She first came to public attention as the bikini-clad girl in the Boddingtons Beer adverts with the broad Northern accent. In the last few years, Mel has continued her television career, including reporting for "I'm a celebrity get me out of here!" and presenting "Eastenders Revealed". She has also hosted a variety of awards shows, including Miss World, the BAFTA's and the Q Awards, has presented her own radio show on Galaxy and recently hosting prime time Saturday night on ITV with "Under Pressure" and the "Vault" She is the host of Today with Des and Mel (with Des O'Connor), Celebrities Under Pressure and The Vault.
