Marguerite Moreau (born April 25, 1977) is an American actress who first came to fame in the US Television series Blossom in 1994 and 1995, playing Melanie. A string of movie bit-parts followed, until she got the part of Jesse in the 2002 film Queen of the Damned, based on the Anne Rice novels. She then starred as Charlie McGee in the TV movie Firestarter 2: Rekindled, followed by Runaway Jury in 2003, playing opposite Gene Hackman. She played Monica Young, a high school teacher having an affair with one of her students, on the ABC network series Life As We Know It in the 2004–2005 season. In the Mighty Ducks films she plays Connie Moreau. Recently, Marguerite appeared in a season two episode of Lost, playing Starla in "Everybody Hates Hugo," as well as several episodes of The O.C., playing Reed Carlson. As of April 2006 she is starring in Easy on the Showtime cable network. Showtime describes the series as follows: "Writer/director Jane Weinstock's romantic comedy stars Marguerite Moreau ("Queen of the Damned," "Runaway Jury") as Jamie, a marketing whiz adept at naming consumer products for a living, but less skilled at attracting nice guys. In her own words, Jamie's a "jerk magnet" - that is, until she meets two nice guys, John (Naveen Andrews of "Lost") and Mick (Brian F. O'Byrne), and can't choose between them. Emily Deschanel and Caroline Goodall costar in this charming festival favorite." In 1999, she graduated from Vassar College with a bachelor's degree in political science. |
