Lauren Holly (b. October 28, 1963) is an American actress who was born Lauren Michael Holly in Bristol, Pennsylvania, USA. She is perhaps best known as Mary Swanson, Lloyd Christmas's love interest in the movie Dumb & Dumber.
Lauren's father was an English literature teacher, so it was no wonder when she graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1985 with a B.A. degree in that field of study. Both her parents were teachers, her mother being an art history teacher at the University of Rochester.
