Lauren Conrad (born February 1, 1986 in Laguna Beach, California), known as LC, is an original cast member from Season 1.

In Season 1, which she narrated, LC had a crush on Stephen Coletti, her childhood friend. He, however, was with Kristin Cavalleri, so the pair never become anything more than friends.

She moved to San Francisco, California at the end of the first season to attend the Academy of Art University, where she majored in fashion design. She dropped out and returned to Laguna Beach, claiming she missed it too much.

In the second season, LC got an internship at Three Dots clothing company in Los Angeles, California. She struggled with her feelings for Stephen, but later became attracted to Jason Wahler, with whom she 'hooked up' in one episode. In the next episode, however, he kissed his ex-girlfriend, Jessica Smith, in front of her, at the fashion show she was planning. They broke up, but are now back together and happy. She is no longer friends with half of the people from the show, including Dieter, who was her best guy friend other than Stephen.

As of December 2005, Lauren attends FIDM and is living in Los Angeles. She has a new show coming out on MTV called The Hills. Her younger sister, Breanna, will be the star of the third season of Laguna Beach.
