Laura Leighton (born July 24, 1968) is an American actress. She was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa, and graduated from West High School there.

She starred on Melrose Place from 1993 to 1997 as Sydney, Jane's sister. Originally, her character was a guest appearance, but she proved to be popular as an antagonist.

Leighton dated fellow Melrose Place actor Grant Show in the mid 1990s, but she married Doug Savant, also from Melrose Place, in 1998. The couple have two children as of June, 2005.
