Kate Ritchie (born August 14, 1978 in Goulburn, New South Wales) is an Australian actress on the television soap opera Home and Away. She has played the character Sally Fletcher since the series began in 1988; with fellow original cast member Ray Meagher, it is the longest continuous role in an Australian television series. Ritchie also was the child lead Molly in the mini-series Cyclone Tracy in 1986. She has done a number of commercials and has also been involved with the Campbelltown Musical Society. In 2000, a sex tape, rumoured to feature Ritchie and her ex-boyfriend, was circulated on the Internet. Several tabloid newspapers, including the Daily Sport, reported the story. Ritchie has never commented on the rumours. She lives in the eastern suburbs of Sydney with her boyfriend, professional rugby league player Chris Walker. On May 7, 2006, Ritchie won the Silver Logie for Most Popular Actress at the 2006 TV Week Logie Awards. She is currently a contestant on the celebrity singing challenge It Takes Two, and is partnered with Troy Cassar-Daley. |
