She has been in a number of adverts, but has played Rosie since January 2000, taking over from Emma Collinge, who had played the character since birth. This is her first major television role. Rosie turned into a Goth for a while in 2005 along with boyfriend Craig Harris (played by Richard Fleeshman) with whom she acted in a controversial under-age sex storyline. Her Gothic image caused friction with her on-screen parents, Sally and Kevin Webster (played by Sally Whittaker and Michael Le Vell, respectively). In the 2006 British Soap Awards Helen was nominated for the Best Dramatic Performance for a Young Actor, however she lost to Ellis Hollins. |
