Emmanuelle Sophie Anne Chriqui (born December 10, 1977) is a Montreal-born Canadian actress known primarily for her roles in teen-oriented movies. Chriqui (whose family name's French-language transliteration is pronounced Shreeky) was born to Jewish immigrants from Morocco. When she was 6, she moved to Toronto with her family, including an older brother and sister; she grew up in Unionville, a suburb northeast of the city. Chriqui began her acting career as a 10-year-old in a McDonald's commercial. She moved to Vancouver in the mid-90's, guest-starring in series such as Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Forever Knight, Once a Thief, and Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. Her first Hollywood role was as a supporting character in Detroit Rock City (1999), followed by Snow Day (2000), On the Line (2001), and Wrong Turn (2003), among others. In 2005, Chriqui co-starred with Usher in In The Mix, as well as appeared in a recurring guest role on the entertainment-industry television hit, Entourage.
