Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is an English actress recognized primarily for her portrayal of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series. Watson was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, to two lawyers, Jacqueline Duerre and Chris Watson, who divorced in 1995. She has a brother, Alex, who was born in 1993.
