Emma Samms (born August 28, 1960 in London) is an actress who played Holly Sutton Scorpio on General Hospital from 1982 to 1985 and from 1992 to 1993. She also played in Dynasty, The Colbys and Dynasty: The Reunion. In 2003, she appeared in four episodes of the BBC series "Holby City". On October 14, 2005, she started appearing on the BBC daytime series Doctors. In January 2006 came the surprising announcement that Emma Samms would make a two-week return to General Hospital with former on screen (and formerly deceased) husband Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio). The announcement came as a shock the the soap community which had expected the "surprise" announcement to be that Scorpio's other wife Anna Devane played by Finola Hughes would return. Although that character had been killed off along with Robert, she was resurected years later with amnesia on the sister soap All My Children until 2003 when the character left to spend time with her daughter in Paris. Her first episode aired on February 20, 2006. In 1983, Samms and her cousin, film producer Peter Samuelson, co-founded the Starlight Children's Foundation, an organisation that attempts to fulfil the wishes of seriously ill children. The organisation was a response to losing her brother Jamie, who died at age nine from aplastic anemia.
