She has since starred in a few notable American films, including Gladiator (2000) and One Hour Photo (2002). Connie has a son named Sebastian, with whom she now lives in New York. She is currently dating Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich. Nielsen is fluent in Danish, German, English, Swedish, French and Italian; she is also a singer and dancer.
