Caroline Munro (Born January 16, 1950, Windsor, England) is a British actress and model who is best known for her many appearances in science fiction and action films in the 1970s and 1980s. Munro said that an acquaintance took some headshots of her and submitted them in a "Face of the Year" contest ran by a newspaper. Munro's pictures won the contest and her modeling career took off. Soon, modeling lead to films. Munro's film career began in the mid-1960s with uncredited appearances in numerous films, including the 1967 James Bond film spoof, Casino Royale and 1971's The Abominable Dr. Phibes. She later rose to co-starring roles in films such as The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and several Hammer Horror films including Dracula A.D. 1972 and Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter. |
