Alyson Renae Michalka, credited as Aly Michalka (born March 25, 1989), is an American actress and a singer-songwriter. She is perhaps best known for her role on Phil of the Future as Keely Teslow and as one-half of the pop duo Aly & AJ.

Michalka was born in Torrance, California. She and her sister, Amanda Joy Michalka (who is two years younger), lived and grew up in Seattle, Washington. Michalka has been playing the piano since she was six and started playing the guitar at the age of thirteen. She started acting when she was five years old, mostly in church productions.

Michalka's acting debut came when she received the part of Keely Teslow in Disney Channel's Phil of the Future. Michalka later starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Now You See It..., in which she plays Allyson Miller, an ambitious television producer who is trying to find the next great young magician. She has a younger sister, Amanda Michalka, who is also an actress. Alyson and Amanda enjoy writing songs, which landed them a record deal with Hollywood Records as Aly & AJ. Many of their songs have been featured in movies and television shows: "Do You Believe in Magic?" from the Disney Channel Original Movie Now You See It, "No One" from Ice Princess, "Protecting Me" from Phil of the Future, "Walking On Sunshine" from Herbie: Fully Loaded, and "Rush" from the Disney Channel Original Movie Twitches. Alyson(Aly) and her sister Amanda(AJ) have recently completed a tour with the Cheetah Girls. She recently starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles along side her sister Amanda Michalka and will star alongside Amanda in the upcoming tv series Haversham Hall as well.

Michalka and her sister, Amanda Joy Michalka will be starring in a new Disney Channel series Haversham Hall which will be airing on Disney Channel in 2006. Their new movie, Cow Belles, premiered on Disney Channel on March 24, 2006.
