Welcome to Mooseport is a 2004 movie starring Ray Romano and Gene Hackman.

Hackman plays Monroe "Eagle" Cole, a former President of the United States. Cole retires and moves to his new beach house in the fictional city of Mooseport, Maine. Romano plays Harold 'Handy' Harrison, who is a local plumber. After the town mayor dies, the town council decides that Cole should run for mayor. Harrison, not knowing that Cole is running, is persuaded by his friends to run for mayor as well. When Harrison finds out Cole is also running he decides to step down until he notices that Cole is hitting on Harrison's girlfriend of six years, Dr. Sally Mannis. As tensions rise, Cole's team, lead by Grace Sutherland and Will Bullard, try everything to get Cole elected as mayor. As the campaigns progress, Cole and Harrison each becomes obsessed with winning the race.
