The 2005 film is a comedy starring Tommy Lee Jones about a Texas Ranger who has to protect a group of cheerleaders who previously witnessed a murder. Much of the movie was shot in Austin, Texas on the University of Texas campus and also at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The movie is rated PG-13 for violence, sexual content, crude humor, and a drug reference. A by-the-book Texas Ranger Roland Sharp tracks down a key informant with the help of an ex-con turned preacher Percy Stevens. But when the informant is offed, the hard-headed Sharp is assigned to protect the only witness to the crime--a group of University of Texas cheerleaders--by going undercover and moving in with the five uncontrollable coeds. For a guy used to ducking bullets and confronting heavily armed drug dealers, he’s now up to his elbows in poms-poms |
