Major Movie Star is an upcoming 2008 film starring Jessica Simpson. Simpson plays the title role of Megan Valentine in the comedy, about a down-on-her-luck actress who enlists in the United States Army. The current movie poster uses an image from Simpson's GQ cover. The tagline is "The Few. The Proud. The Blonde." The movie is described as "similar" to Private Benjamin (1980), though many accuse it of being a remake. Filming started July 2007.

Simpson went to Cannes to promote the movie, which will be released sometime in 2008. Jessica appeared on many talk shows and interviewd by many magazines to promote the film.

According to iMBD Major Movie Star is set to be premiere in Russia on the 18 September 2008 and following in Bulgaria on the 7 November 2008.

The film has been long awaited and it is yet to be confirmed if the film will be released theatrically or straight to video. According to iMBD the film is rated PG13.
