The story focuses on Darrell, a successful DJ, who manages to rescue the daughter of a powerful mobster one night as he returns home. In order to repay Darrell, the mobster, Frank Pacelli, gives him the task of protecting his daughter, Dolly. Darrell and Dolly embark on a brief relationship as Darrell finds himself sinking deeper into the murky underworld of New York City. As their relationship comes to an end, Darrell finds himself unable to extricate himself from his new life, despite Pacelli losing patience with his constant bickering with Dolly.
