Dare to Love Me is an upcoming Musical/Romance film starring Raoul Bova, Lindsay Lohan, Thomas Kretschmann and Jaime Camil.It's written by Oliver Mayer and Nicolas Veinberg from a story by Lucas Jarach. It's directed by Alfonso Arau.

The film's release date is scheduled to be sometime in 2008, however, due to many delays, the movie might be pushed back and released in 2009 instead.

To prepare for the role, Lohan took tango lessons. The film is shot in Romania.

The status of the movie is unknown, filming has been delayed several times, and on IMDB it says that it's still in pre-production stages.

Filming was supposed to start in October, 2007, but due to financing/strike issues, it was later delayed to January, 2008, however, as of July, 2008 it is not yet known if filming ever started; nobody involved in the movie have mentioned if filming started, and there haven't been any pictures taken on the set, which indicates that filming might not have begun yet. In recent interviews, Michael Lohan (Lindsay's father) has said that Labor Pains is Lindsay's next film in terms of release, so either production has been delayed again, which may affect the movie's release date from 2008 to 2009, or, like many people are starting to speculate, that the film as a whole may have got shelved or even canceled.

In 1920s Buenos Aires, Tango legend Carlos Gardel is involved in a love affair with a prostitute and has his life turned upside down when a bullet takes her life and pierces his own flesh. Remaining in his lung for the rest of his life, the bullet serves as an eternal reminder of his pain and loss. During this success, a mysterious woman enters his life and changes him forever, turning him into a musical legend.
