Baby Makin' Project is a studio album by R&B quartet Jagged Edge. It was released through So So Def/Island Records in the U.S. on September 25, 2007. The retail version of the album leaked September 19, 2007. Producers include Jermaine Dupri, Manuel Seal and Sick Cents all of whom are the production team for So So Def. The album will also include credits of their new record label 581 Records. The label was granted by Island Urban Music. As of June 5, 2007, "Put a Little Umph in It" featuring Ashanti, was leaked onto the Internet. This is their first single off the album. The video was shot by director Ray Kay around the week of July 17, 2007. The video premiered on August 14, 2007. "Put a Little Umph in It" is currently #49 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. As of July 1, 2007, snippets of "I'll Be Damned", "Way to Say I Love You", "Me, That's Who" and "Whole Town Laughing" were added to Jagged Edge's MySpace page and later onto the Def Jam website. "Turn U On" leaked to the Internet on July 29, 2007. The entire album was leaked to the internet on September 19, 2007. Following its release, the album debuted at number seven on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling about 78,000 copies in its first week. |
